Walking on Airbnb (plus Trains, Planes and Automobiles)

Another great trip with a whole week via an Air Bnb this time. Very impressed with everything about our little home away from home on this trip and proved a perfect launch for all our action and adventure.  Third time we have gone Air Bnb and feel it really does offer an immersive experience, falling into the lifestyle of the locale much more easily.  Give it a go if you get the chance, both you and I would get a credit here www.airbnb.com/c/lloydw621 In terms of this particular venue, the link on the side of the blog would be pretty easy to follow and book should you ever want to explore the Mijas area as we have done! Packed up our stuff, and endeavoured to leave the place as we had found it, before driving the short route to Plaza Mayor.  Chrissi had done a bit of detective work and found we could park the car in the shopping centre and catch the train into Malaga for a bit of a mooch around. We duly did this and stumbled upon an even bigger Easter Parade t

Lucky we aren't particularly fussed with beach holidays as today would not have been much to our liking. As it was, a relaxing final full day on the Costa del Sol did allow us to take a nose at the resort style holiday that Bryn yearns for and we have put on the backburner in recent times. No rush to leave the Airbnb, a continental breakfast as we are on the continent, but more to do with the fact we are trying to use all the fresh stuff in the fridge before our departure. Having run down to Fuengirola a few times, a more leisurely stroll today in relatively mild conditions. It was a bit warmer by the time we hit the boardwalk which became our unofficial parkrun for the day.  My running legs almost out of gas, and the weaving in and out, stop - start nature of this run was hard work, but short, and rewarded by throwing my over heated self into the sea straight after. Last part of warm weather training Bryn and I dusted the sand off our feet and wandered through the

This morning was quite a relaxed one, we didn't really go out until around midday. I tried to tidy up the place a little; we've just dumped things everywhere and it's quite a mess. I thought I'd make a little start on sorting things out as we're going to have to pack soon. When we did leave the house, we weren't travelling far, which was nice in comparison to the hour and half trips we've been making over the past few days. We drove up and up and up into Mijas town, where we were guided to a car park (further up the road again). The car park was in this canyon-type space, and was really interesting. We weren't sure where we were meant to be going to start the walk up the mountain we planned, but since it was Good Friday, we realised there might be something going on in Mijas to celebrate, Easter. Because of this, we walked down into Mijas centre to see what was going on. Mijas was pretty, and we got some great photos. There
