Que Podemos hacer? What can you do (near Mijas)

On face value this trip is in one place but we want to regularly get out and about from our base between Fuengirola and Mijas; in one weeks time we will be having our first adventure of the year.  Loosely following in the shoes of the magnificent 7 on their Spanish job in the second series of Auf Pet (we did Dusseldorf a few years back) it is now time to draw up a hit list of jaunts around the costa del crime.  Provisional itinerary below based on initial thoughts, but all is up for debate and days picked arbitrarily as we focus first on potential activities.

Expect the usual nonsense commentary from me with a few pointed political references (we are after all ambassadors of our failing country and reaching out to our true global friends) and plenty of sense from my partner in crime Carys. We will both look to find our true expat villain alter ego, Ally Fraser and Kenny Ames our fictional mentors.

Sun Malaga and Fuengirola (Auf Pet Locations)

Mon Gibraltar Day Trip

Tues Mijas hikes and exploration

Wed Water Park/Theme Park

Thurs Nerja Caves Benalmedena (Auf Pet locations)

Fri Al Hambra

Sat Torremelinos and Marbella by bikes and running? (Auf Pet Locations_

Sun Ronda and Ally Frasers Villa

Outside possibilities Morrocco daytrip and Seville

-Carys-
With 1 week to go, it seems like it's coming so fast, and feels like only days ago we were sat around the table eating dinner, talking about which places we fancied exploring next year (this actually happened in around September time, I think.) I've been buzzing about this holiday since I decided to take Spanish for one of my 3 GCSE choices - along with History and Art - as I realised this might be a way I can practise what I know about the Spanish language, and learn more about the language and culture (and food - yum) of Espana. I've also taken on the role as 'lead translator' as the only person out of the four of us who chose to study Spanish rather than French at any stage of 'higher education'. I'm not too sure how good my Spanish is though, but I guess this holiday will test me.

That's all for now, and thanks for joining us on our holiday to Spain!

  1. Not sure how I missed your Spanish trip. Especially as I was in Nerja, just down the road, at the same time. Though that may be why, I was cutting down on social media while enjoying Spanish sun and food.

Still I'm catching up with it now, while waiting for the next exciting episode of the current blog.
